Flat Head

The right side of Charlie's poor little head is so flat. He always sleeps on that side, and even when we move his head while he's dead asleep, he still moves it back almost instantly! We know that it will be fine once he starts sitting up, so we're not that worried about it; but we did get him a Bumbo chair so that maybe his head will round out a little earlier than that :)

Chillin' in his Bumbo chair-or as Craig calls it, his Bum-Bum chair :)

Sleeping

So, Charlie isn't quite ready to sleep unswaddled yet-he wakes himself up if he's not wrapped up. However, he's also getting stronger and keeps breaking out of his swaddle and waking up in the middle of the night. This is our solution-an ace bandage :) It works until about 4 or 5 in the morning, and then he gets mad and wants his arms out. We're working on getting past the swaddling stage :)

Charlie got worn out waiting for me to finish getting ready the other day :) He takes his naps unswaddled now so he can get used to it for night time.

Gym

Here's Charlie being wild and knocking down his gym again :)

Houston Museum of Natural Science

On Saturday, we went downtown to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Here is Charlie in his St. Patrick's Day green waiting to get into the museum.

Laughing

Bouncer Chair

Here is Charlie hanging out in his bouncer chair when he is supposed to be sleeping...

Spring Break

We decided to kick off Spring Break by going to IKEA on Monday. Here's Charlie eating his lunch on a bright yellow couch.

Charlie slept all the way home from IKEA and sucked on his binkie so hard that it left a nice mark around his mouth :)

Charlie wanted to kick back and relax after a long walk around IKEA :)

String Bean Baseball Player

At Charlie's last doctor's appointment, he weighed 11 pounds 4 ounces, putting him the 20th percentile for weight. He was 23 inches long, which put him in the 90th percentile for height-long, skinny baby! Now a lot of his jammies that have feet in them are too small (he can't stretch his legs out all the way in them), and the ones that don't have feet fit him like capris :) Our little string bean :)

I just thought this was a cute outfit :) And who knows? Maybe Charlie will take after his Uncle Jason and Aunt Erin and play a little ball!

A Few Smiles

It's still really hard to catch one of Charlie's really big smiles on camera, but here are a few that I've managed to get.

This morning I got to go to a Young Women training meeting down in Sugar Land. Sister Elaine Dalton, the General Young Womens President, gave the training, and it was excellent! Afterwards I got to meet her and take a picture with her. She thought Charlie was super cute, and he loved meeting her :)
