Sprinkle Cake

Charlie LOVES sprinkles. Like he really loves them. Sometimes he asks for a little bowl of sprinkles just to eat. Crazy kid. So we made him the ultimate sprinkle cake for his birthday-the brighter blue neon-ish ones are the ones he picked out :) He wanted more sprinkles, but I had to tell him that the cake wouldn't hold any more-it literally wouldn't!

Apparently he didn't have enough icing and sprinkles on his piece of cake, so he just reached for more!

He really loved the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blue Bell :)

Birthday Boy!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHARLIE!!!

Translation of ga ga = got it!

Ok, this video is a little long, but it shows Charlie talking a little bit, so it's worth a watch.
And some translation help: yo yo = wheel, you you = Mater, dadoo = tractor, dash = truck,  and Sheh-je = Charlie :)

Charlie says thank you so much to Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey and Grandma and Grandpa Niederhauser!! He loves all of his gifts and has been busy playing with them all morning :)

Towel Boy

Charlie loves being wrapped up in his towel after his baths. He hates when I make him take his towel off and get dressed.

Peanut Fun

Last week we got several Christmas boxes-this one in particular from Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey. Charlie didn't really get that the wrapped presents were the exciting part of the package-he just wanted to play with the styrofoam peanuts! He made quite the mess...

Puppy

Every few days, Charlie decides that his puppy needs a diaper change. He gets his wipes and a diaper, he takes a wipe or two out and wipes Puppy, then he has me help him put a diaper on him. And then he usually puts him to bed :)

Clementines

Christmas time also means clementine time in this apartment. Charlie really likes them, and he insisted on peeling his own the other day. It took awhile, but he eventually got it all peeled!

Christmas Time!!

Charlie is such a sweet little boy. He always has to make sure his animals are taken care of when he is. So when he sits at the table for breakfast, he makes sure Puppy, Clifford, and Monkey all have a seat and some doop-doo (cereal) too :)

Here is Charlie seeing our decorated tree for the first time this morning. We got it on Monday, but we didn't have a chance to decorate it until last night. I think it turned out pretty well! And it smells so good!

He walked around the tree for about ten minutes just kind of exploring and saying "Ight! Ight! Ight!" (light)

Clearance Gold

Charlie and I went to Target last week, and we happened upon the clearance Halloween section. Everything was 90% off! So, when I found this for $1.70, I could not resist. Total score!

Buckey Hat

I gave Charlie this tupperware when it cracked a little on the bottom, and now he calls it his buckey (bucket). Last week he started putting it on his head and calling it his buckey hat. He likes to pull it down over his nose-probably because the first time he did it, Craig and I cracked up!

Weird Eating Habits

I poured Charlie some cereal the other morning-Chocolate Marshmallow Mateys-and he started asking for crackers. I asked if he wanted them in his bowl, and he said yes, so I gave him some. Then he asked me to pour milk on it! Gross! But I did it, and he ate it :)

Later that same day, I asked him what he wanted for lunch. He ran over to the pantry and pulled these out. I asked him if this was what he wanted for lunch, and he said yes. So I put a little of the onion salt on his hand, and he licked it off and said "Mmm!" and asked for more. What can I say? :)

Charlie with his "lunch".

Cook!

One of Charlie's favorite activities is to help me cook. He runs around saying "Cook! Cook! Cook!" because he loves watching me. He even gets to help me put ingredients in the bowl sometimes. Right here he got a little distracted by eating some icing to be too much help, but he was enjoying himself :)

Charlie always tried to grab the measuring spoons and cups when I've used them and they're covered in stuff, so I always tell him he can't have them-they're dirty. Apparently he thought that's what they were actually called, so now he calls them dirty-as a noun, not an adjective. Except it sounds more like dooty :)

Houston Weather

So, two weeks ago, we were running out the door to church only to discover this branch right on top of Craig's car...yeah. Apparently there had been some strong wind during the night. Thankfully it only scratched his car a little bit-no broken windshield or anything.

Halloween

The Friday before Halloween was our ward Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat. Charlie had a blast running around with all of the little boys in our ward and playing around the beanbag toss pumpkin. You'll notice that Craig is missing from all of these pictures-he was at his school carnival that always falls on the same night as the Fall Festival. Bummer.

I saw a picture of this online, and I had to make one for myself. I thought it turned out pretty well :) And even though it was 75 degrees outside and I was sweltering, it was totally worth it!

Hanging out in the kitchen eating a tootsie roll.

At our first stop at the Trunk or Treat, Charlie decided to make himself at home and took a seat on their camp chair-they thought it was hilarious :)

Charlie kept trying to give people candy after they had given him some-he loves to share :)

Ok, besides the retarded look on my face, my costume turned out pretty darn well :)
